Trace of Origin 2021

Trace of Origin consists of six intaglio prints. It was an extension of Duality, which used the same methods to create the image from hot glass. Working in the hot shop and handling heavy bronze ladles for a while, I had more confidence in controlling my body movement and mapping the melted glass for the print image. The results are finally embedded in the paper, as the traditional prints. The gesture of melting and printing is like a photographer capturing the moment, but with the fire to burn it down.
